The overall objective of the project is to support 10,000 school-aged children(6-17 years old) to continue accessing formal education services and support 2500 students of low achievers using remedial classes to catch-up with their peers including provision of teaching and learning materials, running costs, winterization needs in 25 schools affected by the earthquake and recent escalations in high severity sub-districts(Dana, Darkosh,Armanaz)

#SADAD launched its project in partnership with the #SCHF entitled “Supporting the most affected children in the underserved camps and communities in Idleb to have continuous access to quality education services”

SADAD works on:

Provision of quality inclusive formal education services to 10,000 students (4444 boys & 5556 girls) including 283 CwD in 25 schools along with incentives to the teachers and other supporting staff in schools, running cost to schools, printing and distributing formal education textbooks with school bags and stationery kits to the students, replacing  the powder of existing fire extinguishers, train the teachers and the children on safety and evacuation as well as providing winterization support(heating fuel) to 25 schools during the academic year(from 01-12-2023 to 31-05-2024)

Provision of remedial classes along with learning and PSS materials kits to 2500 students (1200 boys & 1300 girls) including 70 CwD from the students who are enrolled in formal education and got the lowest marks in the final exams in this academic year(2023-2024)in the main subjects(English-Arabic–Math) of low achievers with focus on the students who didn’t have the chance to attend the schools regularly due to the suspensions and displacement caused after the earthquake and the recent escalations by contracting with 75 remedial teachers and supporting the schools with running costs for three months during summer (from 01-06 to 31-08-2024).
