Overview

Sadad has worked since its inception to support the educational process through a number of projects in Syria and Turkey by providing schools with educational supplies in the southern countryside of Idlib and Olive Branch District, including formal and non-formal educational activities. Sadad considers spporting the educational process the fisrt priority in its programs.

Sadad Objectives in Education Sector

  • Raising the standard of the educational process.
  • Reach out to marginalized groups of students by targeting marginalized areas.
  • Bringing dropped-out students back to school after a long break.
  • Educating parents about the importance of education for children and motivating them to send their children to schools.

Needs

From 2015 to date, SADAD has supported 131,706 children to access education in 534 schools in northwest Syria in camps and outside camps, including providing formal education services to 93,941 children, non-formal education to 37,765 children, and paying monthly incentives to 3,780 teachers, Distributing school bags and stationery to 95,990 children, distributing 325,716 liters of heating, in addition to providing mental health, psychosocial support and awareness activities for 113,437 children and caregivers.
