Overview

SADAD Humanitarian Organization aims, through food security and livelihood programs, to provide basic food needs for vulnerable populations in order to sustain survival taking into account the special and different needs of women, children and the elderly. SADAD is also working to support the development aspect by designing and implementing agricultural projects aimed at improving the quality of production and creating a kind of self-sufficiency for the beneficiaries.

Sadad Objectives in FSL sector

  • Providing basic means of survival for IDPs and vulnerable people within the areas of displacement in northern Syria.
  • Support IDPs and the vulnerable people to raise their standard of living by providing basic fooditems.

Needs

SADAD Organization has been providing aid in northwestern Syria since 2015. The organization has prioritized the food security sector due to the high need in the region. According to the latest report, approximately 15.3 million people in Syria require assistance, around 91% of the total population.

In northwestern Syria, out of 4.5 million people, 4.1 million people are in need of assistance, according to figures issued by OCHA.

Since its establishment, the SADAD Organization has successfully reached 397003 beneficiaries through their food security and livelihood activities. The beneficiaries have received various types of support, including but not limited to, the distribution of free bread, ready-to-eat baskets, cooked meals, income-generating activities related to food processing, and support for Olive value chains
